Steps to Get the 60s Makeup Look

Step 1: Prime your eyelids
Don’t be tempted to skip this step. It may seem to be trivial, but it’s really important if you want your makeup to last all day (or all night) long. Prime your eyelids using either a primer or a concealer.

Step 2: Go for white eyeshadow
Press a white eyeshadow onto your eye lid. Layer the product up to intensify the colour.

Step 3: Draw a black line along your eye crease
Go for an angled brush. Dab it into your eyeshadow - you can even wet the brush to make the black more vibrant. Following your eye crease, draw a black line cutting the crease gently.

Step 4: Go for a gentle cat eye
Using a liquid eyeliner, draw a thin cat eye line along your top lashline.

Step 5: Go for big faux eyelashes
The 60s were all about massive lashes and extra strong eye makeup, so make sure your falsies are extra bold. If you see any gaps in your cat eye line, simply fill in with your liquid eyeliner.

Step 6: Draw four dots on your lower lash line
To create the illusion of extremely defined lashes on your lower lash line, draw four dots. Make sure your pencil is extra sharp!

Step 7: Mascara, mascara, mascara
Go bold and layer up the mascara.

Step 8: To visually make your eyes bigger, use white pencil on your waterline
Line your waterline with white – it will make your eyes really pop.

Step 9: Apply blusher on the apples of your cheeks
Freshen up the look with just a little bit of blusher on the apples of your cheeks.

Step 10: Apply nude lipstick
As the emphasis is on the eyes when it comes to this look, keep your lips neutral and go for a nude lipstick shade.

Step 11: Highlight just above your cheekbones
To add a modern touch to this look, apply some highlighter just above your cheekbones.

Wow! Looking Gorgeous!
