What’s happened?

Superdrug have been made aware that Simple are recalling a limited number of Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water products due to the possible presence of bacteria, which has the potential to cause eye inflammation for some consumers.

Affected Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water 200ml and 400ml products purchased from Superdrug in the UK and the Republic of Ireland have one of the followingbatchcodes on the bottom of the bott

Other Simple products sold by Superdrug are not affected by this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience. Thank you for your co-operation.

Danone has informed us of a potential presence of cereulide (toxin) in a number of Aptamil and Cow & Gate powdered infant milk products. As a precaution, selected batches are being recalled.

No other Danone products are affected.

What’s happened?

Danone has identified a potential contamination issue involving the presence of cereulide toxin in the batches listed above. This recall is precautionary to ensure consumer safety.

What you should do

Stop using the affected products immediately.

If you have a pack with an expiry date listed above, please return it to any Superdrug store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.

Superdrug has taken this decision as we have been made aware that peppermint has been mistakenly added to a batch of the product. We take transparency of our product ingredients and labelling very seriously so have begun an investigation into how this happened and will reintroduce B. Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz back to our shelves in 2020

We’ve voluntarily taken this decision because whilst this product is safe for use and meets the EU and UK regulations which recommends a 200mcg daily allowance of folic acid, we recognise that NHS guidance goes further than the legal requirement and recommends a 400mcg folic acid daily supplement to be taken before pregnancy until 12 weeks pregnant.

What you should do

Customers are advised to stop using this product and to return it to any Superdrug store where they will receive a full refund. No other Superdrug Pregnancy Care vitamins are affected.

“You may have noticed that the NEUTROGENA® Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask and Activator are not available where you shop. That’s because these products have been recalled from wholesalers and retailers.

The voluntary decision to recall this product is being made out of an abundance of caution. This recall is being made with the knowledge and alignment of Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA).

Consumers in Ireland should discontinue use immediately and return the devices to the place of purchase.

Additionally, if you have experienced any visual discomfort when using the mask, you should contact your Healthcare Professional and report the incident to crc@its.jnj.com.

The NEUTROGENA® Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask is safe for use by the general population when used once per day as directed. Reports of visual effects associated with use of the NEUTROGENA® Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask are rare, generally mild and temporary. For a small subset of the population with certain underlying eye conditions, as well as for users taking medications which could enhance sensitivity to light, there is a theoretical risk of eye injury.

What's happened?

We have been notified by our Quality Assurance team that we have received a very small number of consumer complaints in relation to the floating speaker and USB cable within these gift packs. We have established that, in some circumstances, the USB cable supplied may overheat whilst charging the speaker.

We can confirm that no other Unilever products are affected including other gift packs containing a wireless shower speaker.

We are conducting an on-going and thorough investigation with the supplier of this item in order to understand how, despite passing all of the manufacturer’s safety assessments as well as our own additional internal quality checks, no faults were identified and are working on procedures to ensure this fault does not occur again in any of the products supplied to us.

What you should do:

As a precaution, we are recalling this product which means consumers are being asked to return the charging cable whilst we continue to conduct an on-going and thorough investigation with the supplier. In the meantime, please do not use the charging cable or the speaker.

The personal care items contained within these gift packs are not affected and are safe to use. We can also confirm that no other Unilever or Lynx products are affected, including gift packs containing wireless shower speaker.
