Our partnership with Marie Curie
Since 2013, we’ve been charity partners with Marie Curie. In the first four years of our partnership, we raised over £5 million. That’s equal to 250,000 hours of Marie Curie nursing care for people living with a terminal illness.
The funds we raise mean more people can be cared for in their own home by a Marie Curie Nurse. And we hope to raise even more money for Marie Curie in the coming years.
Our three annual fundraisers take place in our stores, distribution centres and offices.
These include bake sales to sponsored events – and in 2016, our Charity Ball raised a whopping £264,000!
Our next fundraiser is for the Great Daffodil Appeal in March. You can get involved by coming to one of our parties in stores over 16-17 March, or by picking up your very own daffodil pin at the till.

Where your money goes
Marie Curie gives care and support to people living with terminal illness – including cancer, dementia and Parkinson’s – and their families, when they need it most.
This support includes treating or managing pain and other symptoms with medicines, therapies and other specialist approaches – as well as giving emotional support.
2,160 Marie Curie Nurses across the UK make it possible for people living with any terminal illness to die peacefully at home, surrounded by the people that mean the most to them. And nine Marie Curie Hospices offer round-the-clock, expert care and support, in a friendly, welcoming environment.
