Our partnership with Marie Curie
Since 2013, we’ve been charity partners with Marie Curie. In the first four years of our partnership, we raised over £3.8 million. That’s equal to 190,000 hours of Marie Curie nursing care for people living with a terminal illness.
The funds we raise mean more people can be cared for in their own home by a Marie Curie Nurse. And we hope to raise even more money for Marie Curie in the coming years.
Our three annual fundraisers take place in our stores, distribution centres and offices.
These include bake sales to sponsored events – and in 2016, our Charity Ball raised a whopping £255,000!
Our latest fundraiser, Pamper Party, is all about treating yourself and your friends to some TLC, while seeing the beauty in giving. You can get involved by coming to one of our parties in stores over 14-15 July, or by throwing your own Pamper Party at home. Just pick up your party essentials from Superdrug and for every Own Brand product you buy between 11-17 July, we’ll donate 1p to Marie Curie*.
Where your money goes
Marie Curie gives care and support to people living with terminal illness – including cancer, dementia and Parkinson’s – and their families, when they need it most.
This support includes treating or managing pain and other symptoms with medicines, therapies and other specialist approaches – as well as giving emotional support.
2,160 Marie Curie Nurses across the UK make it possible for people living with any terminal illness to die peacefully at home, surrounded by the people that mean the most to them. And nine Marie Curie Hospices offer round-the-clock, expert care and support, in a friendly, welcoming environment.
* For every Superdrug Own Brand product (excluding Superdrug Own Brand medicines, vitamins or any products with a medical licence) purchased online and in store in the UK and ROI between 11.07.18 and 17.07.18 only, Superdrug will donate £0.01 to Marie Curie. Marie Curie does not endorse any brands or products. Marie Curie is a registered charity, Charity Reg No 207994 (England and Wales), SC038731 (Scotland).
