Don’t want to mess around with a lot of colours but still feel like going all out with the classic vibe this October 31st? Then 3INA has you covered when it comes to popular Halloween makeup ideas!
Here at Superdrug, we’ve joined forces with the vegan and cruelty-free brand to take it up a notch this spooky season with a simple yet effective take on classic Halloween cat makeup. But don’t be a scaredy cat; it’s not as hard to recreate as you’d think! Just make sure you follow the quick and easy Halloween makeup tutorial step-by-step below…
Step 1: Apply your base
Once you’ve prepped your skin, create an even complexion by applying a few drops of foundation over the main points of your face and blending with a good make-up sponge. Then, gently dab concealer under the eyes and add a sweep of blusher towards the end of the cheekbone, bringing it a little bit to your temple.
Step 2: Perfect a smoky eye
Next, go ahead and start your smoky eye with a cool-tone eyeshadow. Add a dark-tone eyeshadow to the outer corners of your eyes and use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend inward and upward. Finish with shimmery colour over your lids – after all, nothing makes easy Halloween makeup look glam like glitter!
Step 3: Add a feline flick
Create an emphasis on the eye by lining your waterline (the part right above your lower lashes) with a high-precision automatic eyeliner in a light pink shade. Then use a black gel liner to draw on a simple cat-eye flick from the inner corners of your eyes to the outer corner for a winged look. The best bit? It has a creamy texture for an easy application that’s almost impossible to get wrong!
Step 4: Play up your lashes
Simply place the mascara wand at the root of your lashes and work all the way to the tip in a zig-zag motion. This 3INA waterproof mascara has got a lash-flutteringly good formula that not only defines and lengthens, but provides an intense, rich colour that won’t smudge either.
Step 5: Create a cat-like snout
For the cat’s nose, you’re going to want to grab a black retractable eyeliner to outline the shape and then fill in with a black gel liner. The creamy and highly pigmented formula is called longwearing for a reason—it will last all Fright Night long!
Step 6: Slick on super-dark lips
Now it’s time to move on to the lips. Achieve a bewitching look by using the same black eyeliner to define the outline of your top and bottom lips. Oh, and a swipe of matte-black lipstick for good measure, of course. Not only does the lipstick from 3INA stay put nicely, but its high coverage means one application and you’re set!
Step 7: Whip up some whiskers
Finally, no Halloween cat makeup is complete without adding some whiskers. The secret? Using a black gel liner to carefully draw each cat whisker on from the outer nose to the cheek. Now that’s one hell of a look…
