Step 1: Apply primer
As this is a strong eyeshadow look, it’s best to apply primer for the product to stay on for as long as possible.
Step 2: Start with a neutral base
Either go for a single neutral colour of mix two – for example white and beige – and apply it all over your eye lid.
Step 3: Next, go for a medium shade
We’re going for a medium metallic green. We’ll spread it across the eye lid up to the crease by pressing it on with a flat brush, making sure it is blended in without any rough edges.
Step 4: Time to go a shade darker
Next, use a small rounded brush to apply a darker green shade. Press it on from down to up, so that you blend the eye shadow vertically on the outer areas of your eyelids. Smooth and soften the edges with a blending brush.
Step 5: Build up the layers
We’ll go back to the outer corners again. Take a darker shade – we’re feeling adventurous with a metallic blue – and we’re pressing it on the outer corners and bringing the colour underneath as well.
Step 6: Go lighter and brighter
It’s time to amplify and highlight the inner eye. Use a clean brush to apply a light shade on your inner eye. If you spot that you need more blending – simply grab a fluffy eye shadow blending brush and blend, blend, blend.
Step 7: Finish with fixing spray
To finish this strong look and make sure it lasts all day (or night!), fix it with makeup fixing spray. Spritz, spritz and you’re ready to go!
