What are essential oils?

Lavender oil is an essential oil derived from the distillation of the lavender plant. Lavender essential oil is often used to help calm and unwind as it helps promote relaxation as well as having many other beneficial properties too which are less known like relieving anxiety, allergies, depression, nausea, and menstrual cramps. Lavender oil is commonly used to aid sleep, helping you to enter into a relaxed state and helping you to fall asleep quicker.

What does peppermint oil do?
Derived from the peppermint plant, peppermint oil is also a popular essence as it has multiple properties, from helping with digestion, sinuses and congestion as well as for soothing and relieving pain topically like aches.
There are many other popular aromatherapy essences which can positively impact your mood and emotions like eucalyptus oil and tea tree oil which also have other benefits too, where they can both be applied to the skin in a diluted form.
