What is IPL? Philips Lumea uses a light-based technology called IPL, derived from the technology used in professional beauty salons. Gentle pulses of light are applied that put the hair into the resting phase. These hairs naturally shed in the 1 to 2 weeks post treatment and further regrowth is inhibited, leaving you with silky smooth skin.
Who is it suitable for? Philips Lumea works effectively on (naturally) dark blonde, brown and black hairs. As with other light-based treatments, Philips Lumea is not effective on red, light-blonde or white/grey hair. Philips Lumea is also not suitable for very dark skin.
Results that you can see - Enjoy over 75% hair reduction after only four bi-weekly treatments. After these four treatments, you can enjoy the freedom of smooth skin for up to two months between treatments.

Where can you use it? Use with confidence to remove hair on body parts including legs, underarm, belly and arms.
Two modes - Lumea has 2 treatment modes; Slide and Flash is ideal for fast treatment of larger areas such as legs - you simply glide the device over the skin you want to treat, smoothly and quickly. To treat curvy areas or targeted zones, such as bikini line, you have the option of Step and Flash mode too.
