Product Information

The keratosis pilaris package cares for red spots and bumps, keeping the skin healthy | Contains Tea tree oil Body Scrub 200 ml., Body Wash 200 ml. and Body Lotion 200 ml.

What is keratosis pilaris?

Keratosis pilaris is quite harmless, but can be very bothersome cosmetically. Keratosis pilaris appears on the skin as small red and rough bumps and can occur anywhere on the body. However, keratosis pilaris is most commonly seen on the upper arms, thighs, face or back.

Many people mistakenly think they have pimples on their upper arms, but this is not the case. Keratosis pilaris occurs in the hair follicles. The condition is most common in young people, but in many it diminishes over the course of life. However, some are affected later in life and it is estimated that up to half of the population suffer from pimples on the arms in one way or another.

Why do you get keratosis pilaris?

The red patches on the skin occur because the hair follicles stop if the skin produces too much keratin or dandruff. This results in bumps, which often become red and rough and are cosmetically bothersome for the individual. The pimple rash is unfortunately very common and widespread.

Keratosis pilaris is actually small white bumps that resemble sebaceous bumps, but the bumps turn red when irritated. They often do this because you wear clothes that rub against the area of skin where they are, and so keratosis pilaris is often associated with red and rough spots on the surface of the skin.

Fortunately, you can prevent and care for your skin with good keratosis pilaris products and moisturisers to minimise and reduce the appearance of red bumps.

How do I make keratosis pilaris disappear?

Keratosis pilaris often occurs in areas where the skin is or tends to dry out, and is therefore typically worst in winter when the climate is cold and the air is dry.

Therefore, it is also important that you prevent as well as minimize the pimples on your body by daily and consistent moisturizing with a good keratosis pilaris cream.

Keep your skin soft, moisturised and well cared for by applying moisturiser several times a day. You need to moisturise consistently to keep your skin hydrated and protected from the rough bumps.

The moisturiser in this pack works as a daily keratosis pilaris cream, as it provides plenty of moisture and also contains bacteria-fighting Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil is known to keep the skin in a healthy and natural balance.

For how long should I use the package for keratosis pilaris?

It's important to be patient if you want to get rid of red bumps on your skin. You should expect to use the products consistently for a longer period of time, which depends on how badly you are affected. Some will experience results after just a short time of use, while others who are more severely affected will need to use the products for longer. In some cases, it can take 12-20 weeks to see results, so it's important to be consistent with your moisturising and stick with it.

It's also important to use products as a preventative measure from early autumn, so that your skin is well protected when winter hits. The condition often worsens in winter, while you will find that the spots become less visible during the summer.

Use the products every day (Body Scrub a few times a week) to make sure your skin is kept healthy and protected from the red dots.

What do I do if the products don't work for me?

Product Uses

How to use the products in the pack

You need to use body wash and body lotion daily like this:

1) Wash the affected skin area 1-2 times daily with the gentle shower gel. It can easily be used as a daily body soap in the bath. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water when you're done to remove all soap residue.

2) Apply body lotion at least twice a day - morning and evening - but more often if possible. Always apply after washing to avoid dry skin.

1-2 times a week, use body scrub to exfoliate in the bath:

1) First wash skin thoroughly with body wash and rinse.

2) Apply Body Scrub to wet skin and massage in circular motions, allowing the scrub grains to gently remove dead skin cells. Be particularly thorough on skin areas with keratosis pilaris. When finished, rinse off excess product and scrub grains.

3) Finish in the bath, pat skin dry and always apply a protective layer of moisturiser when finished. Lubricate with body lotion several times a day for best effect.
