How to use a hair doughnut ring:

1. Spray some dry shampoo through the hair to add volume and to make styling easier.
2. Tie hair into a ponytail where you want the bun to sit and secure with a hair band.
3. Pull your ponytail through the centre of the doughnut ring and push it down so that it sits against your head.
4. Spread your hair evenly over the doughnut ring and then twist any excess hair around and underneath the doughnut.
5. Secure using hair pins or grips.
6. Style hair until ring is completely covered.
7. Finish with some hairspray to smooth any flyaway hairs.

**The doughnut ring can be used to give a tight, smooth look or a looser, more unstructured style - just vary the tightness of your ponytail and how closely and neatly you pin the hair to the doughnut.
