Our GPs can help with most of the things you'd see a GP about, including coughs, colds and sore throats, urinary tract infections, skin problems such as rashes, eczema and acne, allergies and hay fever, stomach problems, headaches, stress, anxiety and sleep problems, contraception, women's health, men's health, sexual health and questions about medicines you take. If your problem needs an in-person examination, the doctor will tell you and point you to the right place.

Video GP isn't for emergencies, so if it's an emergency, call 999 or go to A&E. Our doctors can't prescribe controlled drugs, can't issue repeat prescriptions (apart from some contraceptive pills and some types of HRT) and don't treat ongoing or long-term conditions, which should stay with your regular GP. Anything that needs a physical examination will need an in-person appointment, and the doctor will tell you where to go.

If the doctor issues a prescription, it's sent electronically to a nearby pharmacy, and most are ready to collect within two hours. Around 95% of prescriptions are issued during the appointment itself. You pay the pharmacy for the medicine at the private prescription price.

Every Superdrug Video GP appointment is with an experienced GP registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). You can check any doctor's registration on the GMC register.

If the doctor decides you need a physical examination or that your problem can't be dealt with remotely, they'll tell you and point you to the right place, whether that's your local GP, a specialist or a hospital.

You can cancel or reschedule through your Video GP account. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee. If you miss your appointment, contact the Video GP support team as soon as you can.
