Product Uses
Use in the evening as the first step of your cleanse. 1. With dry hands, scoop a coin-sized amount. 2. Warm it between your fingertips until it melts. 3. Massage onto a dry face in upward circular motions, including over closed eyes to lift mascara. 4. Wring out a cloth in warm water and hold it over your face for a few seconds. 5. Wipe the balm away, rinsing the cloth as you go. 6. Follow with a water-based cleanser. Suitable for all skin types and dermatologically approved.
Tips and Advice
Start with dry hands and a dry face. Water stops the balm melting, so it will feel thick and waxy if either is damp. Take a coin-sized amount and warm it between your fingers until it turns to oil, then massage it over your face for a full minute. It will lift make-up, mascara and SPF. Remove it with a warm, damp cloth. This is the step that matters most. Rinsing with water alone leaves a film, and a muslin or flannel wrung out in hot water takes it all off. Follow with a second, water-based cleanser to leave skin feeling fresh rather than oily. The scent comes from blue tansy and natural oils. Some people notice a citronella note, and it fades quickly once the balm is removed. In warm weather, keep the jar somewhere cool.
