Warning or Restrictions

Important information for natural rubber
latex condoms, please read carefully.
Always handle the condom carefully including
removal from the package so as to avoid
damage to the condom by finger nails,
jewellery, etc. If condom foil is damaged
discard that condom and use a new
undamaged one. Condoms made from natural
rubber latex may cause allergic reactions
including anaphylactic shock. A condom should
never be used for a second time, condoms are
for single use and if reused there might be an
increased risk of failure or infection, the risk of
breakage is also higher. The use of a condom
cannot guarantee 100% protection against
pregnancy, HIV, or Sexually Transmitted
Infections (STIs). If in doubt always consult a
doctor. If additional lubricant is desired, use the
type of lubricant recommended for use with
condoms e.g. for Natural Rubber Latex
Condoms a water-based lubricant such as
Pasante Light Lube. Avoid the use of oil based
lubricants, such as petroleum jelly, baby oil,
body lotions, massage oils, butter, margarine,
etc., as these are deleterious to the integrity of
the latex condom. Use of condom during anal
sex increases the risk of breakage. It is
recommended to use additional lubrication if
vaginal lubrication is insufficient or for anal sex
to minimize the risk of condom breaking or
coming off. Consult a doctor or pharmacist
about the compatibility of topical medicines that
might come in contact with the condom.
Carrying condoms in your wallet, back pocket,
handbag, or similar is not advisable. If you
have unprotected sex or your method of
contraception has failed, contact your Sexual
Health Clinic or GP for emergency
contraception advice preferably no later than
72 hours. Keep away from children, children
can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken
condom fragments. Use of condom during oral
sex increases the risk of asphyxiation, choking
or condom breaking. A latex condom is a
medical device. The device is intended to be
used by adult lay persons. Any serious incident
that has occurred in relation to the device
should be reported to the manufacturer and the
competent authority of the Member State in
which the user and/or patient is established.

Product Uses

1. First, check that the condom foil is intact, that it’s within the
expiry date and that it carries the CE mark and BSI Kitemark.
Tear along one side of the foil taking care to handle the condom
carefully, including removal from the package so as to avoid
damage to the condom by fingernails, jewellery, etc. Take the
condom out of its individual foil prior to immediate use.
2. The condom should be placed on the erect penis before any
contact occurs between the penis and the partner’s body to assist
in the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy.
3. Hold the condom teat between your thumb and finger making
sure that the condom is the right way for unrolling (the roll must be
outside). Squeezing the teat end expels air from the condom,
reducing the chance of it bursting during use.
4. Using your other hand unroll the condom down the entire length
of the penis, while still holding the teat. Make sure the condom
stays in place during sex. If you feel the condom slipping off stop
and check that the condom is still in place. Check if the condom
feels like it is tightening excessively onto the penis because this
might lead to breakage.
5. Withdraw the penis soon after ejaculation, while holding the
condom firmly in place at the base of the penis. Only when the
penis is completely withdrawn can you remove the condom. Make
sure you keep the penis and used condom away from the vagina
and anus.
6. After use make sure you dispose of the condom hygienically.
Wrap it in tissue and place it in a waste bin. *
Do not flush it
down the toilet
