Tea tree is one of the most ubiquitous essential oils, having been used in all manner of natural cosmetic blends over the years. The warm, fresh aroma with spicy undertones is possibly one of the most instantly recognisable of all the essential oils. The tea tree is also known by the botanical name of Melaleuca alternifolia . It is native to Australia, where it grows alongside streams, reaching up to 20 feet in height.
