Product Uses
Concealers are used to cover up blemishes and under-eye circles. They can be used on a bare face, or in supplement to foundation, where it is applied to the areas where needed. When using powder foundation, apply concealer prior, as well as after foundation. When wearing a liquid foundation, be aware not to smudge out the concealer when blending.
Correctors are different from concealers, since they do not only conceal the problem area, but also neutralise/diminish unwanted facial discolouration. Often, it is better to correct than to conceal and neutralise a colour before adding another shade on top of it.
Highlighter is great to add glow and make the skin seem more awake. It is also a wonderful way to infuse life to your look
Under the brow bone: Apply highlighter just under the brow bone, but above the crease of the eyelid to give the illusion of bigger eyes
Tips and Advice
When applying concealer, it is important that it is patted onto the skin and not rubbed, as it would otherwise be wiped of. Apply a small amount and then gently pat with the finger - especially around the edges to blend it in.
If applied to areas with fine lines or wrinkles, the concealer can crease. In order to prevent this, apply an eye primer before applying the corrector or concealer and set with powder. This can be done by dipping a fluffy brush or powder puff into a powder and gently pressing it on the under-eye area.
