Folic Acid (Vitamin B9) Folic acid, also known as vitamin B9, is a water-soluble vitamin. It is found in a range of foods including leafy green vegetables, legumes, citrus fruits and fortified foods. As a water-soluble vitamin, it is not stored in large amounts in the body. Supplement Information Each tablet provides 400mcg of folic acid in a standardised dose. Folic acid is included in food supplements as a source of vitamin B9.
