The spicy, fresh aroma of ginger has long been popular as an essential oil. Uplifting and warming, it has all manner of potential uses, from diffusers to massage oil mixes (when used with an appropriate carrier oil). Ginger derives its name from the Greek word "zingiberis" which means "horn-shaped", describing the root of the plant.
