Eucalyptus citriodora is a member of the gum tree family. It is known by a number of different common names including the Southern Blue Gum and the Tasmanian Gum Tree. Historically, eucalyptus essential oil has been most commonly used to relieve congestion, such as during hayfever season or when suffering from the sniffles. It may be rubbed on the chest when appropriately prepared for natural relief throughout the day.
