Product Information
A simple and reliable home test kit to check whether you have had your last period and reached the post menopause stage. Fast and reliable results within minutes. Contains 2 tests.
Features
Menopause is defined as a biological stage in a woman's life when she stops menstruating and reaches the end of her natural reproductive life. For women over 45 years old, most doctors can diagnose menopause based on clinical history alone. The SELFCheck Menopause test kit measures your follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) level in a urine sample. A constant, high level of FSH can indicate that you have reached menopause. Each test kit contains two tests to test on different occasions. If both tests indicate high FSH levels then you should speak with your doctor before making any changes to lifestyle or medication. The SELFCheck Menopause self-test is easy to use, only requiring a small sample of fresh urine and gives an easy-to-read visual result in less than 10 minutes.
Benefit
Although most women reach menopause at around the age of 50 some women experience the menopause in their 30s or 40s. Checking your FSH level, with the SELFCheck Menopause Test kit is a simple and reliable way to find out if you are likely to have reached the menopause.

Product Uses
The SelFCheck Menopause Test requires an early morning urine sample. One of the two test strips provided is placed in the urine sample for 3 second, then placed horizontally on a surface for 10 minutes after which your result can be read in a similar way to a pregnancy test. It is advised that should you have any concerns or questions about your test result that you consult your Doctor.
Tips and Advice
The menopause test is CE marked and has been independently evaluated and shown to provide reliable results and is easy to use. Since post menopause is influenced by many factors, it is not possible to be entirely sure you have reached menopause on the basis of FSH levels only. You should not take any healthcare or lifestyle decisions based on a test for FSH alone but seek further advice from your doctor. The test should be performed on a first early morning urine sample and repeated with the second test included a week later to confirm the result.
