Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by a tiny bacteria called Chlamydia trachomitis. Women with Chlamydia infections often have no obvious symptoms and is easily treated but when left untreated can lead to complications such as inflammation of the fallopian tubes, inflammation of the womb, pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility. The test has simple to follow instructions, easily performed and provides reliable results.

Warning or Restrictions
Keep away from children. Only suitable for women. Do not use the test during the menstrual period or within three days of the end of your period. Do not use during pregnancy. Do not use within 14 days of a course of antibiotics.

Product Uses
The SELFCheck Female Chlamydia test is for women and is easy to perform at home. A sample is collected with the sterile vaginal swab and full instructions are provided. The swab is then placed into a the developer solution provided and a few drops added to the test cassette. Within 10 minutes results are shown as a simple yes/no as to whether an infection with Chlamydia trachomatis has been detected. It is advised that should you have any concerns or questions about your test result that you consult your Doctor.
