This was a really good dye... first time I've dyed my hair, it's an amazing colour.Flag this review
I haven't coloured my hair for quite a long time and was ready for something different so as a BZZAgent I jumped at the chance to try this for free on behalf of L'Oreal. I chose Black Cherry as a change from my natural mid-brown colour! The colourant was very easy to use: simply mixing the cream and developer together then applying the dye to damp, towel dried hair. It took 20 minutes to develop after which I rinsed my hair till the water ran clear - this took ages - then used some of the conditioner and rinsed again. My short hair means I will get a few uses out of the conditioner. I was amazed at how glossy and healthy my hair felt. It's not felt this shiny for ages! And the colour is gorgeous and rich! I'll definitely consider using Casting Creme again, even if I just want to enhance my natural colour next time rather than completely changing it!Flag this review

I used this around 3 weeks ago and wash my hair daily so it is fading now (as I would expect with a semi - permanent colourant) but it doesn't look patchy and is still in lovely condition. I'll definitely consider using Casting Creme again, even if I just want to enhance my natural colour next time rather than completely changing it!Flag this review
I use this colour regularly. Beautifuly ,covering all my greys ,easy to use, leave my hair nice and moist, not dry or damaged. For the right shade for me I leave it bit longer another 10 minutes as my hair is dark brown.I have reaction to most of the colours in other brands, but This one is the best!!!!!!!!!Flag this review
I got this free from BzzAgent and loved it.The hair dye came in clear packaging which was quite pretty and easy to read. Opening it up was easy and inside could see everything which was needed which all fitted nicely and did not need to be tugged to be got out. The gloves were great and not cheap plastic like some gloves which come in dye can be, they were a little big but I have small hands so if understandable. The different solutions were clearly labelled. The instructions were easy to follow and allowed me to mix everything properly without any confusion. I did not mix the colorant and development formula completely (not on purpose), my advice would mix it for at least 2 maybe 3 minutes. I only mixed it for about 2. This meant when massaging the dye into my hair I had to go over it multiple times to guarantee it was thorough mixed in and the same color however it wasn't the worst thing that could of happened. Applying the dye was easy and didn't take long, I decided to squirt the dye onto my hands and then mix it in as I tried doing it in sections and because my hair is thick it didn't work well. There was a lot of dye solution which meant my hair was thoroughly saturated even though it is very thick, this will mean that those with long hair shouldn't have to buy two packs. I left the dye for 20 minutes and washed it off, this can take a long time for the water to run clear, mine took 5-10 minutes. However when going to use the conditioner the lid appeared to have fused on. I tried using various DIY tools to get it off and in the end pierced it with some scissors. This may have just been mine but is something to bear in mind. The conditioner itself was really nice but a tiny amount more would of been nice as I have thick hair so it wasn't completed covered. I ended up using a little bit of my own conditioner as well just to get my roots. The conditioner left my hair shiny but looking slightly greasy. My hair was slightly dried out but nothing major, I will say it did not dry my hair out as much as other hair dyes have. The color is a dark and looks red/coppery. It looks redder in the light but is a nice color. I have received many compliments on it. I would use this brand again as it was the first time I ever dyed my hair myself (without help) and was brilliant, easy and hassle free. The dye took well. The only thing I am concerned about is my hair turning slightly ginger in the sun. I would not recommend this to anyone with light brown hair however as it will go very dark. All in all I would definitely and will encourage my friends and family to use this brand, and I plan to use this brand and color again.Flag this review
great product, easy to use (best to get a friend to help you!), gives a really nice shiny effect on your hair, i have medium-dark brown hair and i could definitely see the effect of it, and been about 5 weeks now and still have a slight tint to hair but with no obvious roots! :)Flag this review
Clear instructions, smells quite nice (almost like strawberries) and quite easy to apply but I recommend getting a friend to help you. I have used this dye about 4 times now, each time with great results. The color is a deep, rich red that shimmers in sunlight, it is suitable for school/work but a little more interesting than your average brown, black or blonde. The dye leaves your hair so so soft and beautifully shiny, it makes me feel like I've been to an expensive salon every time! I have long and thick hair and although I've only ever used 1 box, I do think 2 would bring a better color result. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. The only reason I have marked it down a star is because of the slight gingery red tinge it leaves in your hair, but if you're going to keep dying your hair then that doesn't matter.Flag this review
I have medium dark brown hair, this product is recommended for my hair type was expecting it to show up more but you can hardly see it.Would say this product is for lighter hair.Flag this review
None drip, smell wasn't too bad etc but when I dried my hair it was hard to see the colour in my hair and when I would be beside a window or any form of light it would appear almost the same as my natural hair colour but darker,so this was a blacky colour. I was expecting a noticeable reddy colour in the light, but that doesn't seem to b happening,I hav been told that my hair is a deep purple colour with the dye which somewhat shocked me as my perception of black cherry is a deep colour with dark red, Pretty much maroon highlights throughout. If I was to dye my hair again,I would personally not use this product.Flag this review
