    surprisingly good

naturally medium golden brown hair, got blonde highlights a few months ago, then a few weeks ago went very dark black and hated it. used colour b4 over a week ago and was so impressed, has taken me back to my natural colour and went to the hairdresser for a blow dry straight after using it and she was impressed at how well and even the dye had been removed. obviously my bleached blonde highlights didnt return to my natural colour, but nothing bad happened them, they didnt go green or anything weird like I had read might happen. So impressed and would defo recommend trying it!

    disappointed

my hair was dyed black with a NON-permanent (not even a semi) and i used this so get it back to my natural brown colour. i left it on for the maximum 60 and left my hair patchy, half of it was darkest brown the rest was bright ginger. very disapointed

    mistake

i had red hair and i loved it but i kept redoing it and it started to turn more brown than red, obviously i know that red is hard to get out so decided to use this product .. i thought it would be quite good as i read many reviews and watched youtube videos, for starters this product smells vile, and then once washed out my hair which is naturally light brown, i have ginja and blond hair .. it looks rank ... please don't make the mistake i made ... I'm defiantly dying my hair red in the next few days one it has recovered

    Brilliant

I have been dying my hair blue, purple, red and black and constantly strip my hair before going back to blonde and it has never failed. It does leave copper/light ginger tones but it blends well as red is the worst colour to try remove but works miracles every time.

    It does work

I had black hair for over two years, and before that I had experimented with plum colours and dark browns. Eventually I got tired of maintaining my hair and dyeing it every 6-8 weeks and wanted to go back to my natural hair (light/golden brown) so I decided to try this product. In short; yes it does remove the dark colour from your hair. However, it did leave me with VERY red/ginger hair (which surprisingly I like the colour of because it's even and has nice tones to it so I'll probably keep it for a bit). I left some conditioner on for about 5 minutes after and my hair is only a little bit dryer than usual. Don't expect it to take you back to the exact colour of your natural hair, but the product does what it says. If you want more removal then you'll probably need multiple applications of the product. I have hair below the shoulder and one packet was enough.

    Amazing, it really works!

This stuff has saved my hair from over-dark and misleading results on two occasions now. It has just saved me from a dye that turned my light brown hair almost black. It does stink to high heaven, but it's really worth it to get your hair back to normal in one go.

    DO NOT BUY THIS

My hair is naturally a light brown, mousey blonde colour and I've been dying it in the shade '4' for a few months now. I wanted to go back to my original colour so I tried this out. It recommends to leave it in for an hour, but i only left it in for 30 minutes incase it went ginger or got too damaged. However, when I washed it out my entire head was all the same shade; bright orange! It was definitely not my natural hair colour. I have never even dyed my hair red either so I don't know why it turned orange. I wish I had never used it. I had to buy 2 bottles because my hair is quite long so this was such a waste of money. I had to condition my hair 3 times because it was so tangly and my hair now feels like straw, not silky like it used to. Another downside to this product was the smell. It stunk the house of rotting eggs and my hair still smells of it 3 washes afterwords. Also, when I was applying it to my hair it was incredibly overpowering and made me feel unwell. I would 100% not recommend this product. I wish I had taken a before and after picture to show the dreadful result but I was too upset to think of doing so at the time.

    Amazing

I have been dying my hair for ages and have once before stripped my hair and it didn't work, most hair strippers usually turn you hair orange/yellow. Where as 'Colour B4' completely removes all the dye from your hair and leave you with your natural colour, it does note that if you have hair longer than your shoulder or have thick hair then use two boxes which i would recommend. The only downside to this product is that my hair isn't very healthy now , though it might be because i have dyed my hair repeatedly, the smell isn't great kind of smelt like eggs but if i needed to i would use this product again. Very happy!

    updated review

I'm posting an updated review to warn people that if you have a history of dying your black and want a colour change then don't waste your time or money on this product, go to the hairdressers and get it sorted properly, which is what I've had to do. I applied this 5 times over a space of a couple weeks and whilst it did lift some colour the colour lifted was mainly from the roots, the rest of the hair was a patchy ginger, dark brown and black, not really an ideal base to colour over. I couldn't actually stand it any longer and went to the hairdressers today to get a professional colour strip and re-colour. I'm now happy with my even light red brown colour. I think this product probably works better on hair that doesn't have a lot of colour build up but my experience with this product hasn't been great and I'll be sticking to my hairdresser for my hair colouring from now on.

    Brilliant

I have been dying my hair a dark brown for over a year, every few months. After seeing all the negative reviews I was really worried. I applied the hair product and kept it on for an hour to get the best effect and followed the instructions. The colour I ended up with was not exactly my natural colour, but it was still a lot lighter than it was. I was planning to dye it ginger after, but it had left me with an orangey tinge in anyway. I was really impressed as it was not patchy, and was all one colour after applying once! However, after a week it started to get darker again.
