Step to Achieve Bouncy Curls with Bantu Knots
Step 1: Gently rub holding cream into your hair
Apply holding cream onto your hair, focusing on the ends. Make sure your strong hold cream is with oils or moisturising properties that will help prevent your hair from drying out.
Step 2: Start to twist
Start at the front with a small section. Twist the hair around until a bantu knot takes shape. Your hair will fall into the bantu twist itself – just be firm and keep twisting your locks.
Step 3: Pin the bantu knot
Go for pins you feel most comfortable using. Once in a tight twist, pin the knot firmly to make sure it doesn’t undo itself!
Step 4: Repeat, repeat, repeat
Use the same technique on the rest of the hair. Section, twist and pin in place.
Step 5: For extra moisture, spritz on some moisturiser
Spray on some moisturiser to protect and hydrate your hair.
Step 6: Bed time!
For the curls to set, you will need to wait a few hours. This is why it’s best to do bantu knots before sleeping or if you are having a relaxing day at home.
Step 7: Reveal the curls
Gently undo the twists and loosen up your curls with your fingers. Add gloss spray for extra shine.
