Are you ready to turn your eye makeup look on its head? If you’re not flipping out over the under-eye accents trend, you’re about to. Think shadow smudged under the eye, graphic lines on your lower lids and a sprinkling of silver sparkles under your eyes (what better way to hide dark circles!). Ready to primp your peepers and take your liner downtown? Here’s how…
Wanna look cuter than a buttercup? Yellow eyeshadow is everything this summer. Make your shadow sing by building a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l base first. Dab a few dots of Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer under your eyes, then pat and blend with your ring finger, to erase any redness and create a smooth blank canvas.
Next, dip the B. Eyeshadow Blending Brush into the sunshine shade of the MUA Bright Eyeshadow Palette in Silent Disco. Tap the brush on the side of the palette to get rid of any excess – we’re going for subtle not Simpson here – and sweep the colour from halfway along your lash line towards the outer eye. Don’t worry too much about being super-precise. Want to go a little bolder? Dust the shadow around the inside corner, reaching up towards the upper lash line, as well as down under the lower lash line.
Your basic cat’s-eye flick just got a serious upgrade. Starting at the point between your inner eye and inner brow, sketch Revlon ColorStay Exactify Liquid Liner across the eye and swish it up into a flick. Then, starting about a centimetre under the inside corner of the eye, glide the roller across towards your outer eye. With bold looks, there are no rules, so go as big or little as you like. Of course, even the most experienced eyeliner gurus among us make mistakes, so keep cotton wool buds and eye makeup remover to hand to wipe up any wobbles.
Switch your go-to glitter lid by sweeping glitter under your eyes instead. Dust a fan brush into L’Oreal True Match Powder Illuminator and apply to cheekbones, forehead and nose. Next, use your finger to apply Barry M Glitter Fixer Gel under the eye and on the tops of cheekbones. Now pop your finger into Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Silver and apply as much of the stuff as you want. Still think your look needs more spangle? Dot tiny amounts of the fixer gel randomly and stick on some Superdrug Fantasy Queen of Stars Gold Glitter.
