You’d think that if you have oily skin, a heavy-duty, foaming face wash would be the answer to keeping spots at bay, but, in fact, they can strip the skin’s surface, sending sebum production into overdrive for protection. To take off your makeup
If you’re still not double cleansing, where have you been? The first step in any regime is removing the day’s makeup, and we have two ways we like to do that. If you have dry skin, use a cleansing oil. The oils will attract the fats and oils in makeup, removing them effortlessly while keeping skin hydrated. If your skin is oily, a micellar will get rid of a full face quickly and easily, and without leaving any residue on the skin.
To wash away the day
Our rule for face wash is to choose one that is gentle. Dry skin types can get away with a cleansing cream, which won’t zap moisture from the skin’s surface, while oily types will probably prefer a water-based cleanse. Splash your face with warm water, massage in Cetpahil Gentle Skin Cleanser and use a warm flannel to rinse off.
