Colour-pop eyes. Razor-sharp nails. Rainbow-hued hair… Here’s our pick of essential SS19 beauty trends to get a head start on for less.
Get your brightly coloured liners at the ready because it’s time to play. Take inspiration from Marques’Almeida’s eyes, dramatically outlined in neon blue, or get experimental by applying a flash of colour to your crease and upper lash
line à la Guy Laroche.

Streamlined styles were favoured on countless SS19 runways. We’re swooning over models at Victoria Beckham, where hairstyling legend Guido Palau combed volume spray into roots to create comb marks and hair oil on the ends to achieve the damp aesthetic.

FIX UP, LOOK SHARP
If it’s second nature to square off your nails, you may just wanna rethink everything you know. For SS19, sharpened tips are the style of choice, and at Kim Shui they were partnered with a silver metallic finish, while at Philipp Plein they were painted with a chic coating of black. Start by applying a set of pointed false nails, then go in with a nail file to sharpen the ends further.

Step away from the highlights and put down the semi-perm box of iced chocolate because rainbow-coloured hair is set to be a big trend for SS19 – and there’s a version for all tastes. Pretty pastels flourished at Marc Jacobs and Giambattista Valli, while bold brights reigned at Matty Bovan.

What would life be without glitter? Simone Rocha kept it minimal, with hints of sparkle in the crease of the eyes, giving models a fallen-from-heaven feel. Not-just-for-Christmas levels peaked at Halpern, where glitter was pressed on in double layers to amp up the density. The masterpiece was finished with an outlining of black.
