Whether it’s a family get-together with your nearest and dearest or that NYE party you've been waiting for all year, the festive period is the best time ever to experiment with your makeup – and get your favourite celebrities’ looks. Because there's no such thing as too much glitter right now...

Leigh-Anne Pinnock – all that glitters

The Little Mix ladies are never afraid to go all out when presented with a makeup palette, and we love Leigh-Anne’s full-on yet quintessentially Christmassy look. Barry M's celebrity MUA ambassador Adam Burrell dubbed this her classic bronze-goddess look and gave us some advice on how to get the look. After prepping with a cream shadow base, ‘layer the golden bronze shades from the Barry M Crown Jewels Eyeshadow Palette on the lid and lower lash line,’ he said. Then up the drama with Barry M Dazzle Dust in Bronze, and choose a liquid glitter liner to unleash the feline flick.

Billie Faiers – angelic glow

If you're not into too much fuss, get your angelic glow to do all the talking for you. Hayley Sparkes, MUA from the Wow How app, says, ‘To recreate Billie's contoured cheeks, apply Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze to the hollows of the cheeks, sweeping and blending up towards the ears.’ Next up, work a high-impact highlighter from the Sleek Makeup Highlighter Palette in Solstice ‘on the top of the cheekbones, under the arches of the brows, in the inner corner of the eyes and on the Cupid’s bow’. Finish with well-defined brows and a cherry-red lipstick.

Switch your classic smoky eye for a softer – yet equally striking – look with brown shades, à la Mollie. Urging you to be daring with your eyeshadow wing, Adam Burrell says, ‘Use a natural shadow on the lid, then run a brown pencil along the top lash line, winging it and smoking it out as you go. Then press a metallic brown shadow gently on your top lids only, and trace black liner close to your upper lash line to get your peepers to pop. Finish with a neutral pink lip – try Barry M Matte Lip Paint in Cutie Pie.’

Olivia Buckland – daring ombré

If, like Olivia, you can pull off next to any beauty look, you need to take on this daring trend. Hayley Sparkes recommends beginning with a matte, neutral skin base. ‘To achieve Olivia's luscious lips, choose a deep brown/plum lip liner, such as Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner Obsession and fill in the outer corners of the lips,’ she says. Follow up by applying a lighter lip shade – try Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in Boheme in the middle, blending with a lip brush. Finish by crafting standout brows over barely-there eye makeup and adding a touch of highlighter on your Cupid’s bow.

Nicole Scherzinger – festive red

‘Sup shortie❣️

A post shared by Nicole Scherzinger (@nicolescherzy) on

This party-ready makeup is a timeless December classic, and Nicole wears it to perfection. After you've created your flawless base, prime your lids with concealer before reaching for the eyeliner. Adam recommends using a gel eyeliner (for expert precision and staying power) around the entire eye, enclosing the corners rather than flicking the line out. Line the waterline with black kohl and go for full-on fluttering eyelashes. Chisel cheeks with your favourite contour kit (we love Sleek MakeUP Cream Contour Kit), then line the lips with a deep red liner, ‘cleaning up any mistakes using a cotton bud and a tiny brush with some concealer’. Colour in your entire pout with liner before coating lips with your favourite matte red lipstick. Voilà!
