Put the pedal to the metal this spring with steely shades and bands of gold
Mix and blend
The secret to springtime metallics? A kaleidoscope of shades. Work molten shadows onto eyelids and buff until they melt and merge. Darker skins can go for gold with burnished bronzes and champagnes. Cool undertones? Use silver as your main shade.
Universally flattering, copper revs up every skin tone. Block a rust-coloured eyeshadow onto lids, using a wet brush to up the pigment. Want added drama? Wing out a copper liner across upper lids and frame eyes with mascara
Go gung-ho for gunmetal and sketch a graphic strip of pewter along the upper eyelid with a shimmery eyeshadow pencil, then top with shadow. A sheeny blush and a metallic lip topper will multiply the molten effect.
The shade of the season has been given the Midas touch. The way to wear it? All over. Sweep a rose-gold foil shadow up to the brow bone and below the lower lash line. Then pat and press a liquid blusher onto skin before draping highlighter over the tops of cheekbones.
