Now, we get that not everyone is near a beach (sob), so how’s about you try out new locations to yoga-it-up, such as at a rooftop class? Having the backdrop of a city skyline or warm sandy beach makes it so much more peaceful. This is one for the body and mind, so if you’re feeling stressed, yoga will make the cut. A focus on breathing, while doing a series of postures (aka poses), such as the crab, tree and bow, aims to leave you feeling calm, strong and flexible. Check out our beach yoga challenge YouTube vid here for a taster.

If you’re a fan of disco lights, music and glow sticks, you’ll love Clubbercise. This fitness class takes place in a darkened room with glow sticks, disco lights, the latest hits and a dance routine – basically a recreation of a club environment. Trust us, you’ll feel like Beyoncé mid-performance. We just wouldn’t recommend wearing your usual night-out attire – heels aren’t too comfortable to dance in!

In a nutshell, this class is fitness ballet, and if you keep it up, you’ll see and feel the benefits: toned physique, improved posture and greater flexibility. Classes usually last about 60 minutes, during which you’ll be on the floor and at the barre, doing stretches and muscle-strengthening exercises. If it’s good enough for Jourdan Dunn, it’s good enough for us…

Now this takes us right back to our childhood. Seriously, what could be better than a spot of hula-hooping and getting fit at the same time? Not only will it tone your tum, it also improves coordination and strength, and burns calories while you’re at it!
