Christmas aside, this time of year marks none other than the return of one of our favourite reality TV shows of all time. We love nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa with a family bag of Maltesers, watching poor, unwitting celebrities chow down on a kangaroos back end.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has provided us with sheer joy and entertainment for the past 14 years and – as a tribute to the show – we’ve picked out some of our most memorable contestants of all time!

Gillian McKeith

Who could forget Gillian McKeith’s memorable stint in the jungle? The infamous ‘poo doctor’ stands out in our minds after fainting live on air before a Bushtucker Trial.

Dean Gaffney

Dean’s screams during a visit to the creepy crawly Bush Spa earn him a place in our top 10. Each time the choice of critter became more horrific so did the pitch of his voice!

Lady C

Lady C hit headlines everywhere when she appeared on the 15th series of I’m A Celeb… She regularly fired insults at her camp mates, calling Duncan Bannatyne ‘an impertinent old goat’ and Tony Hadley ‘a buffoon’. Unfortunate for them, hilarious for us…

Stacey Solomon

Stacey was crowned queen of the jungle in 2010 after winning the hearts of viewers with her ‘can do’ attitude. She endured some of the toughest Bushtucker Trials in the series, such as eating pig’s brain and cockroach.

Christopher Biggins

Biggins’s signature laugh and animation provided the fun element of the 2007 show and ultimately led to him winning the series. Most hilarious viewing moment? When, in the pitch black, Biggins realised he was sharing his hammock with an unwelcome guest…

Joe Swash

Cheeky chappy Joe won the series in 2008 after we all fell for his charm and big heart. In the jungle, he struck up an unlikely bromance with George Takei, who played Sulu in the original Star Trek series, and regularly flirted with Esther Rantzen, despite being 42 years her junior.

Peter Andre

Originally known for being that bloke singing Mysterious Girl underneath a waterfall while flexing his muscles, it was Andre’s appearance in the 2004 I’m A Celeb that propelled him to fame. We watched on like giddy schoolgirls as his and Katie Price’s love story played out on national TV.

Myleene Klass

Myleene Klass in her white bikini will forever be an iconic I’m A Celeb moment. The former Hear’Say singer looked incredible every time she took to the jungle showers, which gave women #bodyinspo all over the country!

Gino D’Acampo

Italian chef Gino caused quite a stir when he captured and killed a rat, which he later added to his makeshift risotto. However, he still triumphed and was crowned king of the jungle in 2009.

Joey Essex

Joey provided us with all the laughs in the 13th series of I’m A Celeb. He regularly came out with what we learned to call ‘Joeyisms’ – such as informing his camp mates he couldn’t tell the time and that he never learnt how to blow his nose because he ‘never needed to’. Oh, Joey…
