Cast your mind back to last week, when Kim K decided to show her Insta followers products from her new cosmetics range. It got EVERYONE talking… but not necessarily for the right reasons.

Kimmy K had swatched her products haphazardly down her arm, and the internet couldn’t deal with it.

Watching Kim K learn how to swatch on her story has made my day already 😂😭

Even her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic admitted that he found Kim’s inability to swatch hilarious, saying, ‘Guys, I was dying at her swatches today.’
But Kim bit back and said, ‘OK, I’m learning how to swatch. Just wait till you get it – you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I’m not worried.’

So with all this talk of swatches, we think it’s only right to give you the lowdown on mastering the perfect swatch. You can thank us later…
- Whack out a white sticky tape.
- Apply strips down your forearm, making sure they’re equal distances apart.
- Fill in each section with a different shade of the makeup product you want to swatch.
- Peel back the tape – et voila… perfect straight lines = perfect swatch.
