DID YOU KNOW?

  • We offer the free NHS flu jab service (in England and Wales) to those groups who are eligible. Your GP will be able to let you know whether you qualify.
  • You can also pay for the flu jab service. This year we’re offering our customers the trivalent flu jab service (£9.99), which protects against three strains of the flu virus or the quadrivalent flu jab service (£11.99), which protects against four strains. These are suitable for children over six months old.
  • You only need one dose of the vaccination every year.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COLD AND FLU

So how do you know if you’re suffering from the common cold or flu? Well, with the common cold symptoms develop gradually, usually starting with a sore throat followed by a runny nose and finally a cough.

Flu has similar symptoms to the common cold, but they often develop rapidly and can progress into more serious illnesses if left untreated. Symptoms include fever, extreme tiredness and bone aches, sore throat, muscle soreness, coughs and congestion.
