The pumpkin lattes are already in the coffee shops and we’re starting to feel the nippy autumnal air – so we know how hard it can be to get outta’ the house for your workout. We’re here to motivate you to get your gym-kicks done in the comfort of your own home. The following exercises can be done with everyday household items and during times of the day when you have time to spare, check them out:

WEIGHTS FROM THE CUPBOARD

SOUP CAN TONE YOUR SHOULDERS

Hold one can in each palm and face your palms down. Raise straight arms up to shoulder height in front of you, then lower down.

Do 15 to 30 reps and repeat 3 times.

A BAG FULL OF SUGAR HELPS THE BELLY FAT GO DOWN

Lie on your back and have your knees bent. Holding a bag of sugar, or one in each hand do a sit up and raise your arms to the sky holding the sugar.

Do this for 60 seconds.

1: Plank Twists (30 seconds)

2: Spider man Plank (30 seconds)

3: Plank with arms out to the side (30 seconds)

4: Plank with arms out to the front (30 seconds)

SQUATS WHILST BRUSHING YOUR TEETH

It should take around three minutes to brush your teeth. During this time, you should try and squat as many times as you can. The lower the better - a good way to judge how low you go – is to make sure you can’t see your reflection in the mirror.

Hold the low position for around 5 counts and repeat as many times as you can.
