‘It’s the most wonderful time of the year’ again: from the annoyingly catchy Christmas songs and soppy films we all secretly love to the attempted transformation of our homes and towns into replicas of Santa’s grotto…

One of the season’s treats we welcome with open arms – and mouths – every year is the festive feast. Christmas is the one time of the year we’re allowed to eat whatever we wish and not feel the slightest bit bad about it.

So we’ve rounded up the ultimate Christmas food and drink treats we can’t wait to get our mitts on, and if you’re feeling hungry, you might want to look away right about now…

Pigs in blankets

Perhaps our favourite Christmas parcels! They’re perfect both as finger food and as an accompaniment to the turkey dinner.

Mince pies

They’re filled with fruit and spices, and dusted with icing sugar… just looking at these pretty star mince pies is getting us in the Christmas mood.

Turkey is a festive must-have, and no Chrimbo spread is complete without it. Also makes the BEST Boxing Day sandwiches (just add cranberry sauce.)

Mulled wine

How brilliant is a glass of spiced, warming mulled wine – especially at a Christmas market.

Christmas pudding

Because what is Christmas without the pud?

Roast Potatoes

Smother your potatoes in goose fat for the ultimate crispy Christmas roastie.

Filled with cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon, gingerbread epitomises the smell and taste of Christmas.

Eggnog Latte

You know the sound of sleigh bells are near when coffee shops start selling festive drinks in seasonal cups. Eggnog latte is our favourite.

Oh we wish it could be Christmas everyday...
