Directions for use PREPARING THE WAX Before heating, first remove the lid and the thermoseal film.
HEATING IN THE MICROWAVE:
Make sure the spatula is not inside the product during the heating.
Always place the product on an edge of the microwave plate, never in the centre. We recommend including an image indicating the correct and incorrect position.
Observe the product while it is heated.
After each use the quantity of wax remaining is reduced. The heating times must be reduced proportionally.
Don't overheat the wax to prevent the risk of burns.
If any anomalous behaviour observed during the heating, such as deformation of the tub, immediately switch off the microwave and don't touch the product until it has cooled down.
Heat the wax by following the following heating times:
The heating times set out are an indication. If a microwave is used that is more powerful than that which is indicated, reduce the heating times proportionally.
HEATING IN THE BAIN-MARIE:
Place the product in a container.
Fill the container with water as far as the level of the wax within the jar.
Remove the product.
Heat the water until it begins to boil, then reduce the intensity of the heating applied.
Place the product in the container again and keep it there for the time indicated in the following table.
It is very important that the water does not come into contact with the wax, nor that the latter boils, since it would lose its effectiveness.
It is common to find pieces of unmelted wax after heating.
Mix the wax for the time indicated in the previous table with the help of the spatula to achieve a uniform temperature. After having mixed it, the wax must have a consistency like honey.
If the wax is too hot, the spatula's blue indicator will disappear. Allow the wax to cool for an instant until the indicator reappears.
If the wax is too thick to be mixed, heat it again according to the times indicated in the table. Mix until you obtain the appropriate texture.
TRY BEFORE USING:
Before applying the wax, test with great care in a small part of the skin (for example the inside of the wrist) whether its temperature is correct. If the wax is too hot, eliminate it immediately with abundant cold water and allow the product to cool until it reaches an appropriate temperature.
APPLICATION AND REMOVAL OF THE WAX
For greater effectiveness, the hair must be between 2 and 5 mm long.
Before the depilation, the skin must be clean and dry, with no traces of cream. It is recommendable to apply talcum powder to completely dry the skin.
Pay attention to the temperature of the wax. Wax that is too hot can cause burns. Before applying it to the skin, it is necessary to check the temperature of the product in a small area of the skin, such as the inside of the wrist.
Determine the direction of growth of the hair.
When you use the spatula, apply a fine layer of the width of the strip in the area to be depilated, in the direction of the growth of the hair, keeping the spatula in a perpendicular position when doing so.
The hair must be visible through the layer of wax. If not, the layer of wax will be too thick for a correct depilation.
Apply the strip on the wax layer on the skin, flattening for a few seconds in the direction of growth of the hair.
Keep the skin tense with one hand and with the other pull the layer of wax with a rapid movement parallel to the skin and in the opposite direction of the growth of the hair. It is very important that the product be removed energetically and flush with the skin.
The same strip may be used several times if the wax layer applied was fine enough to do so.
Don't depilate the same area more than twice. Wait for 48 hours before depilating the same area if the skin is irritated.
In the event of burns, place the affected area under cold water for 10 minutes and see a doctor.
ADVICE FOR APPLICATION
If you have no experience in wax depilation, it is recommendable to begin by depilating the legs. Begin to depilate areas that are more sensitive to wax such as underarms or bikini when you have acquired enough experience. We recommend applying talcum power in these sensitive areas before and after the depilation.
Always pull the strip in the direction contrary to the growth of the hair
Underarm hair tends to grow in two directions, so that depilation of the underarms must be done in two steps.
Lift your elbow and move your hand towards the back of your head
For the upper area of the underarm, stick the strip towards the direction of the elbow. For the lower area, repeat the same procedure in the opposite direction.
Apply the wax only in small areas.
Keeping the skin firm, use the correct part of the spatula to apply a layer of wax in the direction of growth of the hair.
Divide the area to be depilated into smaller regions according to the direction of growth of the hair.
The strips are used only once in the depilation of legs.
Use the spatula to apply the wax softly and in a single movement from your knee to your ankle. The wax strip should measure between 10 and 15 centimetres at the most.
AFTER THE DEPILATION
Don't leave the spatula inside the wax after using it.
Any trace of wax is easily eliminated with water.
Clean the spatula with hot water to eliminate the wax.
Clean and dry the thread and the lid before closing the jar. Keep for future use.
