20% More Brits Back Brown

Recent sales figures from Superdrug show that there's only one colour that Brits are interested in this spring and the Labour party will be pleased to hear that it is brown.

Unfortunately it's a golden brown, not a Gordon Brown, that is desirable as Superdrug has seen sales of tanning and bronzing products rise 20 per cent year on year.

Sara Wolverson, Superdrug beauty director said: "The past two weeks has seen a huge growth in sales in bronzing and fake tan products. It seems that it only takes a few days of sunshine for the nation's men and women to get in the mood for summer.

"It's interesting that our best seller is the applicator mitt which proves that today everyone is looking for a natural looking tan, badly applied streaky orange tan is the biggest beauty blooper and no one wants to get caught out."
