  • SUPERDRUG TEAMS UP WITH TEENAGE CANCER TRUST

    27/01/2012

Superdrug and Teenage Cancer Trust are teaming up in 2012 to help raise funds in order to educate young people about cancer. Superdrug has pledged to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust to help with its vital work in schools and colleges across the UK, educating young people about cancer and the symptoms of cancer. Superdrug will be working on with the charity on its annual summer skin cancer campaign now in its seventh year, as well as a programme of activity throughout the year. Superdrug previously worked with Teenage Cancer Trust in 2009 on a summer campaign. Nigel Duxbury, AS Watson UK Property Director and CSR Ambassador said; “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust and are looking forward to helping such a worthwhile cause. “Our organisations have a great fit and we will be working together to get some key health messages to young people.” Simon Davies CEO of Teenage Cancer Trust comments “We are delighted to be working with Superdrug again. “The money raised will help fund the face-to- face presentations Teenage Cancer Trust delivers across the UK in a year and will make a significant difference in many young people’s lives”. As part of the process to appoint a new charity partner Superdrug asked its colleagues and customers to vote; almost 20,000 customers voted online. The most favoured charities were then invited in to discuss their ideas in greater detail.
