Up to 45% of the UK population suffer with some form of food intolerance.
Symptoms such as headaches, flushing, bloating, stomach gripes, constipation, nausea, palpitations, rashes, itchy skin, watery eyes, runny noses or a feeling of generally being unwell can all be attributed to intolerance to certain food types.
Although people are increasingly aware that they are intolerant to certain foodstuffs it has always been difficult to diagnose because symptoms:–
Food intolerances can fall into 2 categories;
The test we use is known as The Kymatika-K test, it is non-invasive and completely painless. The whole process takes under 5 minutes and gives immediate results in the form of a printed report.
The results are easy to interpret and use a Traffic Light grading
We test for the 40 most common dietary foodstuffs.
Once you have completed your test you will be given a unique test code and pin.
This allows you to access your report on line and gives you access to the Kymatika Virtual Nutritionist which guides you to find solutions to specific dietary needs. Additional advice on replacement foods and recipes is all available on line. Don’t worry if you can not access this facility, the Superdrug Health Promotion Nurse will give you the dietary advice you need as part of your consultation.
It is recommended that you have a follow up test 6-8 weeks after your initial one, so that we can determine if the Red and Amber foods are a true intolerance or a temporary sensitivity. This will determine if and when the food should be re-introduced into your diet.
The test, known as The Kymatika-K test is based on the unique, infrared, molecular fingerprint of food. It measures an individual’s reaction to that food and so identifies current or potential problems. Kymatika has the fingerprints of a wide range of foods on its database upon which the Kymatika system is based.
The test works by stimulating the nerve endings with bio electromagnetic waves and then taking measurements from the surface of the fingers, thus monitoring the individual’s response to foods (Similar to how an ECG machine works on the heart).
This test is intended to indicate food intolerances and sensitivities: it is not an Allergy test and it is not a medical device. If there is a pre-diagnosed condition or if symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted.
This test is available to those who are 16 years or older.
£30 for an initial test
£15 for a follow up test
