Superdrug customers have deemed expensive trips to the salon so last year and are choosing to maintain their beauty regimes in the comfort of their own bathrooms. With salon prices soaring and purse strings tighter than ever Superdrug has seen a significant rise in customers indulging in DIY beauty treatments. Sales of home hair dye have risen 17 per cent in the last year, while customers boycotting pricey beauty salons are indulging in more home waxing and spa treatments than ever. Superdrug offers a number of at home beauty treatments for under a tenner including the indulgent Beauty Parlour Chocolate Face Mask £4.99 and Veet Ready to use Waxing strips (£6.99). An extravagant body scrub would cost around £50 in a spa or salon, where as Superdrug customers have been picking up Vitamin E body scrub (£1.99) and Vitamin E Intense Moisturiser (£2.99) with sales rising 35 per cent over the last year.
