From a quirky weekend away to a water park and a cool beach bar in the middle of town…
The weekend hideout: Barefoot Yurts, East Sussex
These adorbs circular nomadic shelters – FYI, that’s essentially what a yurt is – bring a taste of traditional Mongolian culture to the Brede Valley. If you’re a fan of the great outdoors but camping isn’t your BFF, these self-catering glam holiday huts are the perfect solution. Get your PJs on and snuggle up in front of the wood burner with a book and a cuppa. Did we mention there’s a handmade oak bed and an outside picnic area with a BBQ (just bring your own grub)? Swoon!
The day trip: New Forest Water Park, Hampshire
You’re in for a treat, (big and little) kids. Not just your average water park, this has the UK’s first Wibit Inflatable Sports Aqua Park – we’re talking about an outdoor, floating 55m-long obstacle course with trampolines, climbing wall, monkey bars and swing. All our childhood dreams have come true. As if that wasn’t enough to get excited about, cable wakeboarding and kayaking are also on the agenda. Please can we go this weekend?
The evening out: Beach Bar, Montague On The Gardens, London
A beach-hut with thatched roof, real sand, palm trees and a drinks list that includes mocktails, piña coladas and Long Island iced teas in the centre of London? Yes, please! We’ll defo be trying out the BBQ platter, too, at this ultimate evening escape – mini chicken burger with pineapple relish, seafood skewer, mini fish and chips and an ice cream to finish. YUM!
