Yep, it’s the time of year when the Radio 1 crew head to Ibiza for their annual trip to join the Summer of Dance. So, even if you’re not going to be there (like us, boo!), here’s why we wish we were. Good job it’s all going to be broadcast live, isn’t it?

Grimmy’s doing his breakfast show

As usual, our fave DJ Nick Grimshaw will be in Ibiza to host The Radio 1 Breakfast Show from 6.30-10am on Friday morning. It’s guaranteed to be full of laughs and giggles, and we’re betting he’ll be joined by Annie Mac, MistaJam and Danny Howard, along with a few more Radio 1 faves. For a bit of behind-the-scenes action, hit Grimmy up on Snapchat to see what’s going down when the mics are turned off.

Annie Mac will be live from Ushuaia

Annie Mac’s DJ sets are always off the scale, so if you’re heading out on Friday night, tune into Radio 1 from 7-11pm to get the party started. Her set will come live from Ushuaia, a legendary open-air Ibiza club, and she’ll be joined by other DJs from the Radio 1 fam, including Pete Tong, B.Traits and Toddla T. We can’t wait to tune in – and probably spend the rest of the summer listening to it on repeat.

Danny Howard’s dance anthems

Enough said, really. We love Danny Howard and his Saturday night show – even more so because he got his job as a DJ after winning a Radio 1 competition in 2011. We reckon his three-hour set will get you seriously in the mood – and probably make you wish you were in Ibiza more than you already do. It’ll definitely get your Saturday night started in the right way. Trust us.
