TIME TO TRAIN

Get into your swimwear for this intense HIIT-inspired group Hydro workout in the water. It tones the body and boosts your stamina – and is great for when you’re recovering from an injury. The best bit? You’ll burn between 400 and 600 calories in just ONE hour – meaning you can spend less time in the gym and more time on the holiday shopping! Available at Virgin Active

Scola’s top tips... for getting back on track

1. If you’ve got stairs at home, run up and down them for 20 minutes for an intense cardio and leg workout.

2. Do squats, lunges, crunches and push-ups for a body workout at home.

3. Tight on time? Try HIIT training: 30 seconds of exercise followed by a 10 second break. Try to go for eight rounds, alternating jumping jacks, jump squats and high knees.

4. Always have a 10-minute cool-down session at the end of your workout to avoid injury.
