‘I haven’t got enough time’ sound familiar? Well, we’ve come to the rescue with five must-know, time-saving beauty hacks to make your morning regime a whole lot quicker – so we’ll have an extra five minutes in bed, then!

Organisation is key

Just before you get into bed at night, choose the make-up you plan to wear the next day and lay it out on your dressing table. It will save you fumbling around for five minutes trying to find what you want first thing in the morning, when you’re still half asleep.

Zzzz

Choose overnight moisturisers and serums that rejuvenate and nourish skin while you catch up on some well-earned beauty sleep. You’ll reap the benefits when you wake up with a soft, glowing complexion.

Hair hero

Switch up your regular three-step hair routine of shampooing, conditioning and detangling for a co-wash cleansing conditioner. This miracle maker does all three at once, cleansing hair gently without stripping away moisture and leaving you with soft, healthy-looking locks. The no-lather part might take some getting used to, but once you’ve tried it a few times, you’ll get the drill. Thoroughly rinse hair so it’s wet, then massage 12-20 pumps (or 20-40 pumps for long/thick hair) of the co-wash conditioner into your scalp, add a little water to emulsify, then comb through hair and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse out and dry your strands as normal.

Wash and go

An in-shower tan is perfect for a wash-and-go glow. Apply to skin while you’re in the shower (after using shower gel) and leave on for the designated time, which is usually about three minutes. Step out with sunkissed skin! For a quick hydration boost, apply an in-shower body moisturiser after your shower gel, for an all-over super-smooth finish.

Multitask to the max

Opt for beauty products that have multiple uses, such as a lip and cheek stain, petroleum jelly or BB cream. Stain can be used to add colour to lips and cheeks in only a few sweeps; petroleum jelly is an all-round moisturiser that can be used on cuticles, eyelashes and lips; and a BB cream offers an all-in-one hydrated and even foundation, without the need for moisturiser.
