One of the most beautiful braided hair styles is the Dutch braid. It may seem intricate, but it’s not as difficult to achieve as you may think. Read on and find out the quick and easy steps on how to rock this look.
What Will I Need To Get The Dutch Braid Look?
- Hair band or elastic
- Hair brush
- Strong hold hairspray
- A spare five minutes
Quick Steps To Achieve a Dutch Braid
Step 1: Section your top and bottom hair
Section your hair into two – the top layer and the bottom one.
Step 2: Divide your top part into three
Part your top hair into three strands. This is where we will start our braid.
Step 3: Cross the right strand under the middle one
The main difference between a Dutch braid and a French one is that you are braiding under rather than over. So start your braid by crossing the right hair strand under the middle one.
Step 4: Cross the left strand under the middle one
Replicate this step on the other side. Braid under the middle part from the left.
Step 5: Keep going
Remember to keep braiding under the middle section.
Step 6: Secure with a hair band
Go for a hair band or elastic to secure your braid.
Step 7: Finish with hairspray
Fix your hair style with hair spray.
