    Good Buy

At my school we aren't allowed to have our hair to red so i thought this colour would be perfect, but it is nothing what it shows on the box my hair is VERY red but it does look nice, it was a shame it wasn't the colour on the box but it's still nice.

    Level 6

The first number on a hairdye box refers to the basic depth of a colour. 1 being black and 10 being white blonde. The secondary number refers to the 'tone' of the colour, or what has been added to the base colour to form the overall result. So this being a level 6 - its about a light brown, and the secondary colour also being a 6 is a mahogany red on the tone chart. So those of you saying it is to bright or really red, you should have gone down a level or two in base colur to a level 4 with a secondary colour of 5 or 6 so a 4.6 (dark red brown) Obviously if your hair has been dyed a dark brown and your roots are growing in with your naturel colour,of medium or light brown, and you put this colour on allover you will end up with hot roots as they will take colour better than on dark brown as indicated on the colour chart. If you google tone chart it tells you what all the colour numbers are, like a 1 is 'ash' a 3 is 'gold' a 5 is 'copper' etc so if you dont want orange glow in your hair never buy a dye with a secondary number of 5! Its taken me years of trial and error to work this out, hope it helps someone!

    Amazing!

I love this hair dye. Tried nearly all the other big brands, thought I would give superdrugs own a try. I love the colour! Although it came out a lot more red than expected. But that was a plus for me. Hair dye goes onto hair with ease, easy to apply and good coverage. With thick mid length hair one box was more than enough. Colour lasts really well especially compared to other brands. Definitely a favorite. Will be buying again!

    Don't Bother!

I must admit I read the reviews and thought it would be ok but really shouldn't have bothered. My roots are bright red and my ends haven't held on to the colour at all. Granted my roots are virgin hair so I expected a little different but no where near as ridiculous as it looks. Am going in town now to get some Colour B4 and a hair dye that will hopefully go actually brown!!

    Very red not mahogany BROWN!

Applied this product yesterday as loved the colour on the box & looked at advisory's for different shades applying to & mine was mid brown. However after leaving product on for recommended time it left my hair very red. I like red but this is too much for me! If you like red then this is for you. It comes down to it doesn't come out no where near the colour on the box!

    herendous

I loved the colour on the front of the box so i thought i would give it a go. as i was applying the colour it was and intense red/pink, i was thinking oh no im going to have orange hair as i was rinsing it out! i shampooed it 6 times and eventually most of it was off my scalp. once dried my hair i had tones of ginger, purple, pink, red, light brown and dark brown! my scalp and neck are red/orange and i am very dis satisfied with the end result!

    Be wary of this product

Mahogany brown....er no. More like bright pink/red. It doesn't even take on all your hair so I now have streaks of my original mousy brown hair. Going to have to spend more ££ getting a better brand that will actually come out the colour it says it will. 10 minutes isn't enough time and I've never experienced such a short development time before, I should've trusted my instincts when I started to mix it up. I've been bright red before so I'm able to live with it for the next day or so but would've shocked someone who's never been red! IF YOU WANT MAHOGANY BROWN DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!

    Disaster

In the hair dyes defence my roots were lighter than the rest of my hair however, it turned my roots BRIGHT red and I mean bright red! Yet it hardly coloured the ends! Managed to darken them up a tad by putting on a semi perm but will be running out to get a dark brown ASAP!
