Golden Eye Ointment - 5g

GoldenEye ointment is used to treat minor eye or eyelid infections, such as conjunctivitis, blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids) and styes.

This is a Pharmacy Medicine item. We will ask you to complete a questionnaire to ensure this is appropriate for you which our pharmacist will check.


Opaque ointment available in a tube containing 5g

Warnings or Restrictions

•For use in and around the eye area only
•Discard within four weeks of first opening.
•Do not wear contact lenses whilst using this ointment, you can start wearing contact lenses after you have finished using the ointment.
•Do not let the nozzle of the tube touch your eye or eyelid.
•Do not share the tube with anyone else as you may spread your infection.
•This ointment can sometimes cause blurred vision for a short while after administration. You must not drive or operate machinery until you can see clearly again.
•If symptoms do not improve after 48 hours, consult your doctor.

•Please consult your pharmacist or doctor before using this medicine if you are currently pregnant, likely to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
•Please consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are currently taking any other medicines as this may cause an interaction.
•If you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients contained in this medicine, please seek medical advice before taking.
•If you have any questions after you have bought this medication, please speak to your pharmacist.

How to Use

Product Uses

Apply once to twice daily in the space between the lower eye lid and the eye.

Tips & Advice

•With all eye infections please try and avoid touching the eye, using eye makeup and contract lenses.
•It is a good idea to wash the infected eye twice a day with sterile water (boiled water which has been allowed to cool down)

If the carrier leaves the delivery with a neighbour or at your local post office, they will leave a card for you telling you where it is.
  • Where a signature is given by someone other than you or the parcel is left at your local post office, the order will be treated as having been delivered.
