The dye is quite runny but doesn't drip and helped me to get a more even coverage. The final result was a bright red which I was pleasantly surprised with and my hair was left shiny and soft. The conditioner provided is excellent with plenty to use and a screw cap for multiple applications, it also has a slight perfume scent. I will definitely be using this again.Flag this review
This is the only colour I've ever dyed my hair that I am considering using again - normally I like to change it around but I just love this one! When I first dyed my hair, it was verging on an unnatural red - flame red, with bits of purple. I didn't like it at that point as I was after something that looked like it could be my real hair colour. But after a couple of washes it really calmed down and now it looks natural but a very vibrant and beautiful natural hair colour! It's calmed to a more natural colour but it hasn't faded any further so it's still very permanent :) Great, would totally recommendFlag this review
Being a natural redhead that tried to hide it for many years. I'm starting to embrace it, so chuffed I am. This colour is gorgeous. Darker than my natural red colour, but I'm so so happy about it. I'm trying to grow my hair at the moment and have found that none of superdrugs hairdyes damage my hair. My hair feels so nourished and soft. The conditioner is second to none. :) bravo superdrug! BRAVO.Flag this review

I have used this colour a couple of times now, and been very happy with the result. My hair was lovely and shiny, and the colour stayed vibrant for months, which I was really pleased about. Is not tested on animals (BUAV approved) like all Superdrug's own-brand products. This is important to me so I am very happy to be able to buy such a good colour and know it has not been put into rabbits' eyes. I have no criticisms of the product. Smells nice too.Flag this review
The result I got from using the Passionate Red product was a lovely auburn red colour, quite similar to the image on the package. For me it didn't start fading until after about 4 weeks and rather gradually at that. It is easy to use and my hair felt thicker and had much more of a sheen. My hair is very fine, just below shoulder length and was a light to medium brown colour before dyeing. The conditioner supplied is much better than most dye conditioners - just make sure to rinse it out thoroughly. I would definitely buy this product again.Flag this review
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone first of all. It is a gorgeous colour! And exactly how it is shown on the box. However, I do need to tell the full story because this is to help other girls who might be thinking about this dye. My own hair is ginger, however after dying it non stop for the past 16 years it has gone a horrible dull, browny, almost ashy dirty colour which I was gutted about when I decided to try to get my natural hair back. My hair before I used this dye was Shocking Pink, another brand, and had been for quite some time, with other pink dyes before the Shocking Pink came out. So I used Superdrugs own brand lightener which was also bloody brilliant. So my hair when I used this ginger dye was a whiteish/pale yellowish colour. Not dodgy looking, I could've gotten away with leaving it blonde, it wasn't brassy or anything, it looked quite nice. So just a quick roiugh idea of what my hair was like before I used the dye. Anyway, I got a bit of a shock when I mixed the dye and paste a bit on a thin lock of hair underneath to see what colour it went.... PURPLE! NOT what we want ladies! I was really reluctant, but after shaking the bottle a few more times and trying another area it was fine. SO A WARNING, IT LOOKS PURPLE WHEN IT COMES OUT THE NOZZLE! But it rapidly, and I mean rapidly turns brown then ginger, so worry not. The formula is very drippy, I have been colouring my hair for 16 years as I said and I have NEVER been covered in big drips and smears and smudges as I was last night! I always sit cross legged on the floor in front of a mirror so you can imagine the state of my legs! However the fact that it's very runny means perfect even coverage all over your head, and plus, it comes off with nail varnish remover, just make sure you're not too abrasive scrubbing your skin. I didn't apply the dye directly to my roots, I just covered my whole hair then scooped it all up and swished it round on my head, like you do when shampooing, and it covered my roots perfectly, as obviously my roots were virgin hair rather than bleached so I was worried I'd have different colour roots than the ends, but seriously the washy hair type action did the trick and it's all covered. It's absolutely gorgeous, the colour, exactly like the box. The conditioner is so sweet and fruity smelling too, and none of it is tested on animals, so that's a thumbs up from me for sure! One thing I will say is that it takes AGES to run clear when you rinse it, it was getting on for 2am and I was getting bored after doing my hair from 5pm (!) so I used some baby body wash to wash my whole hair and it ran out a lot better, still when I rinsed the conditioner out and rinsed it through a few more times the water was a peachy colour so I reckon when I wash my hair again in the future it will stream out again no doubt. All in all, though, so happy with this product, and the price and the fact it's buy one get one half price is great! Please don't discontinue this product Superdrug, it's wicked! :)Flag this review
