Excellet Hair Colour to date.Never found a match to this ever. I was looking for Ammonia Free Hair Colour and was recommended so many Versions including Herbal Colour from Holland & Barrett, but none matched this Exclusive and Fantastic Olio Range from Garnier. Loved it the most as easy to manage, gives maximum results with no side effects and best part is no ammonia.Well Done Garnier pl.NEVER EVER DISCONTINUE THIS RANGE,IT IS A FLAGSHIP RANGE OF HAIR COLOUR.In Mahagony Brown try an incorporate some Golden Brown tint also to make it look even more natural for Asian Fair Skinned women, which I am and have always had little Golden brown and red tint in my natural hair, this 5.5 is ideal but can be enhanced with a speck of little golden brwn tint,if you ever do so ,pl.mention Especially for Asian Fair Skinned Women.Flag this review
Really pleased to find this product on the shelf in my local Superdrug after seeing it on the Garnier website. The box is quite bulky as the developer cream is in a separate tube not already in the application bottle like most other hair colours. So you have the empty bottle, then 3 tubes of products - developer cream, colourant cream and conditioner. All smell lovely! The bottle is large but bulb shaped and is easy to use. Once mixed, the dye is a thick creamy consistency - I have thick course hair and one bottle only just covered my chin length hair. Due to it being a cream it is non-drip once on the hair so you don't have to worry about it running down your face once applied. It is more like a hair mask but turns to a gel so you can easily see the colour - but does make you unable to comb through or part the hair easily once applied. Very pleasant to use, no overpowering odour, did not sting my eyes or make them water and no itching experienced. (I had completed the 48hr patch test prior to this) Once the dye was on my head, my hair seemed to take on colour instantly so it was very easy to locate any bits that had been missed. I left it for 30 mins as was going from dark blonde to mahogany brown - during this time the dye looked extremely red and dark! You are instructed to 'dry' massage the dye into the hair just before you rinse it out and then again once you have added a little water so it basically shampoos the hair before using the conditioner. When rinsing out it was like red clay or watery terracotta paint coming out of my hair - quite messy and I found it took a while to get the water to run clear due to the red pigment. Hair felt nice while rinsing, not knotty or dry. Conditioner smelt nice but didn't leave hair as silky as expected but it was very shiny. The colour is more red than I was expecting, in bright light it glows quite plummy. I would have preferred a little more brown and a little less red. Not for the faint hearted. It is however very shiny and silky once dried! Very healthy looking :)Flag this review
Was easy to use and the colour was brilliant - very subtle results which is what I wanted and my hair feels great after using it. No strong odours at all. Overall very happy with this hair dye and would use it againFlag this review
