Adee Phelan Hair Colour Remover Dark Tones
Adee Phelan

Adee Phelan Hair Colour Remover will remove permanent and semi-permanent hair colourants and colour build-up, along with hair colour ingedients that can damage or over dry your hair.

There's no bleach or ammonia. It reverses the hair colouring process to help get you back to your natural colour or your previous shade. It also helps to strengthen hair with extract of pearl.Use this Dark Tones formula when you have coloured your hair with dark browns or blacks, or if you have colour build-up. Use it every third time you colour your hair to prevent coloured hair over-drying and to ensure the best result from your next hair colour. Get safe, predictable and more vibrant hair colour when the colour is applied to colour-free hair. You can now colour with confidence. If you don't like your new colour, you can simply remove it and then you can try a new colour and if you don't like that, remove it and start again. Whether you want to change your colour because you're tired of it, or if you've had a colouring disaster, here's your answer. Use it as often as you like and as often as you need.

    It's brilliant

I bought this to remove purple hair dye off from my black hair and it did the job. However I did end up with light brown hair instead of my natural black hair, but it did remove the hair dye, surprisingly. The only downside is that it's so expensive and kinda smells but otherwise it does it's job.

    Brilliant!

I tried this product yesterday, and it really is amazing. First of all, it doesnt smell as bad as Colour B4 , the results came out great, even though I do now have hair of like 3 different shades, but I knew the result will come out this way, since my hair already had 3 different shades to it. I will probably dye my hair after 3 days. Great way to save money, by not going to a salon! And it is very easy to apply. Thumbs up!

    Must Have Product!

First off I just have to say WOW! After dying my hair dark brown - black for almost 3 years, I thought it would be impossible to remove any of this build up let alone some of the dark tones. I bought this product as I am in the process of wanting to get my hair colour from black to bright Rihanna Red! This colour remover has removed my dull black tone and taken me to a deep brown with some reddish/ginger tones (red tones came from a previous colour I had). My hair is around 3 shades brighter than what it was before. My arm did get sore from the rinsing out process but I can asure you it is worth it! If you follow the instructions every step you will have an excellant result.

    It works.

It works. Read the instructions, it can't work miracles, but it does what it says on the tin. I have been dying my hair Schwartzkopf dark red for 10 years and it has stripped it out in one application. I have just below shoulder length, thick, wavy hair and one pack was PLENTY. My previous dyes contained peroxide so I was aware my 'natural colour' would be lighter than expected. It stripped the red right out leaving me with a coppery blondey brown tone (I am naturally mousey). There is a sulphur-eggy smell as other reviews mention but I didn't find it any worse than the ammonia smell left by my usual dye, a decent conditioner and some air freshener saw it away. So long as you follow the instructions properly, especially with rinse times (10 minutes is longer than you think, use a timer of some kind), this will do the job. I would advise covering your head with cling film during development time (seals in the heat from your head ensuring even development, avoiding extra development at the roots as you usually find with most dyes). For extra dark hair do what I did and give a 10 minute blast with the hair dryer after cling filming to speed up the process. Overall very happy, read, and follow, the instructions properly and you'll be satisfied. :)

    Great Product

After years of dying my hair the ends were nearly black and I wanted to go a warmer brown. I was nervous about trying this product so I did a strand test first left it for 60 mins and rinsed it for 5 mins and I was happy with how the colour had lifted This product did exactly what I wanted it to lightened the ends. It is time consuming especially the rinsing and didn't smell great but it was worth the result. I did condition my hair afterwards as it felt like straw

    Would use again

The instructions were clear and easy to follow, i didnt bother with the online video though. The smell wasnt as bad as i thought, but make sure you are in a ventilated but warm room like it says. It has stripped out 8 years of colour build up, i do look a bit gingery blonde which isnt my natural colour but i like it and it has done what i wanted it to. Make sure you rinse for as long as it says, my friend didnt and her colour came back. The pack could probably contain a little more of the mixture, if your hair is shoulder length or longer and thick aswell you will definitely need 2. Still cheaper than a salon and highly recommended

    great product

Really good, it did what I expected. Just smelt really bad of fart and rotten egg! And also my local store only had 1 of this and 1 colour b4, so I had to mix them both together but still worked! And I now have medium brown hair from jet black. Very pleased an would use again x

    WOW!!!'

I've never left a review for anything in my life but have read plenty....mostly for a hair colour remover so thought it only fair that I tell how I got on!! OH....MY....GOD, why have I never used this product before? It is fantastic!! I was wary after reading various reviews on different websites but thought hey, what's the worse that can happen and took the plunge! After having my hair various colours from bleached blonde, to purple, to red and finally to jet black for the last couple of years, I wasn't hopeful of ever returning to my natural colour of light brown without having to go through the torture of growing it out, but how wrong I was!! I used this product this afternoon and am now looking at a colour I haven't seen in almost 6 years!! Fair enough, it's painstaking going through it all and soooo tedious but I cannot stress enough how important this is! Don't miss a step or even think about cutting times down by a minute or two, trust me! I found the easiest way to apply it was with a colouring brush and bowl, far more presice than the applicator bottle. Took me 40 minutes to apply it thoroughly but I'm glad I was thorough! Little tip for you too, after application, cover your hair in as much cling film as you can bare then blast it with the hair dryer for 5 minutes, and then put a hat on or a hoodie, the more heat you can get your head to produce the better! I left it for just over an hour before washing it off, took a good 15 minutes to wash it all off my hair so I'm very glad I did it standing up in the shower rather than bending over the bath! The buffer can make your hair seem really dry but after the second application of it, I just used an intense conditioning mask for 5 minutes which made my near heart attack feel far better!! Don't judge the colour when it's still wet either, mine looked only marginally different at first but after blow drying and straightening, I'm now the proud owner of luscious, thick and shiny light brown hair!! Yeah I know I've gone on a bit, but if you take nothing else from what I've said, take this.....follow the instructions to the letter because if you don't, your hair will still have colouring particles in it that will gradually return your hair to the colour you wanted rid of!! I would 110% use this again! People say it smells awful on reviews but it's identical to perming lotion smell!! Fantastic product!!

    Amazing product

I was trying to get my hair from black to brown but didn't realise I couldn't achieve the desired look without either bleaching or lightning my hair. As I have Afro Caribbean hair I wanted something that wouldn't damage my hair. Now keep in mind my hair has been dyed jet black for a while and when I recently dyed my hair brown only the roots took the colour, I used this product and it has amazed me it's taken out all the black and has left my hair a lovely warm brown tone. I had actually brought colour to dye my hair afterwards. But with the results I got I don't need to. If it can do it to my hair it can do to anyone else's. The bad points about the product is the smell it really stinks the place out. But the results are amazing my hair feels soft and wonderful!! Would highly recommend for those wanting to strip black out of there hair
